Harvest Festival

We had a very busy weekend! On Saturday we met John & Cheryl & Grandma in Kingston to go to the Harvest Festival at Adam's Fairacre Farms. Andrew fed goats, pet a baby kangaroo, and had his first pony ride. He had a wonderful time. On Sunday we went 4-wheeling, and Andrew got to play with his friend Logan who is 1 year and 2 days younger than he is. We also took some pictues of the foilage. I love New York in the fall.

Fair Time

On Labor Day weekend, we decided to go to Chatham to go the Columbia County Fair. Andrew went last year but was to young to enjoy himself. This year he had a great time and was so hyped up he wouldn't go to bed until midnight! Daddy went on the teacups with Andrew, and they had a blast. Andrew also rode the merry go round 5 or 6 times, and we all went on the ferris wheel together. Grandma was not happy about it, but Andrew had a wonderful time. I guess he likes heights more than Grandma does.
Andrew also fed the goats. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to going next year.

I can't believe summer is almost over!

Summer flew by with Mike being in school for most of it. Not much was done, but now that he's back and summer school is over we are beginning to enjoy what's left of it. Here are a few pictures that were taken over the summer. We had more landscaping done. We finally have a walkway that won't result in a law suit. This one is much safer and better looking! We planted a few hostas along side it to make it look better. Owning a house is very hard work, and never-ending! In June Mom-Mom came to visit, and we took a few pictures together. It's not everyday that you can get 4 generations together in one picture. Although we only got to see her and Uncle Jim for the day it was still a great visit.

July 2008

A lot has been going on this summer! I started summer school, and Mike has started line school. Andrew is doing great and is into everything!!! Grandma & Grandpa came down recently to see all of the landscaping we've done. We took Grandma to Bethel Woods (the Woodstock 1969 site). We got a great shot of Andrew after he climbed into one of the chairs by himself. We went to Albany at the end of June to help Uncle John celebrate his birthday. Andrew had a great time playing with his cousins, and Mike and I bought a car for his new commute.

Backyard Fun

We are enjoying our new backyard. Andrew and Tasker love having a place to run around, and Mike and I are enjoying having a SAFE place for them to run around!!! We've been spending as much time as we can outside between the thunderstorms. Andrew loves playing with bubbles and running through them. He was very proud of himself when he figured out how to make the bubble gun work.

May updates

It's the end of May and it's FINALLY getting warm!! Andrew is getting bigger everyday and is getting into everything. He keeps us very busy. Mike found out that he made line in NYSEG this month. He's off to school in late June or early July. He's practing climbing poles, something he'll be doing a lot of in school and on the job. The school year is almost over. 5 more weeks to go, and then I start summer school. While Mike practices climbing, Andrew practices riding his 4-wheeler.

Outside Fun

We have all been enjoying the warm weather (when it appears). Andrew loves riding on his 4-wheeler that he got for his birthday. He has mastered pushing the red button and taking off. Also pictured is our new back yeard. Hopefully there will be grass seed on it soon so that we can put up a fence and have a safe place for Andrew and Tasker to run around. They both have so much excess energy to burn off!!!

Fresh Air!!!

Andrew has been getting a lot of fresh air lately. He loves being outside and cries everytime we bring him in. He's been 4-wheeling, at the town park playing and going for walks in the village. Here are a few pictures of things we have been doing in April. The kid sitting on the 4wheeler with Andrew is his cousin Matthew. The top picture is him sleeping after all of the fresh air. It's been doing wonders for his naps!

4-Wheeling

This weekend we took Andrew for his first 4-wheeler ride. I know he doesn't have on a helmet, but I promise he does have one and will wear it next time! He didn't seem to mind the ride, but I wouldn't say he enjoyed it either. He'll get used to it and I'm sure grow to love it.

Spring Time!!!

Andrew enjoyed his first experience WALKING outside today. It was brisk outside but we had a good time watching him play ball. We got a few pictures of him, and there are two in particular that I love, so I am posting them. Also, Mike spent three nights teaching Andrew how to kiss. I almost cried when he kissed me for the first time! Mike captured it today outside so I'll post that as well.

Easter Weekend

We celebrated Easter for the entire weekend. We started on Saturday by going to Chery's parents house in Rockland County, NY for an Easter Egg hunt. Andrew and his 1 year old cousin Mairead didn't do so well against the older kids, but they were happy with their one egg each. On Sunday we celebrated by having dinner with Uncle Brian and Aunt Jen. Andrew didn't understand what was going on. He saw his Easter basket on the table and helped himself. I was getting stuff out of the fridge and Mike was still sleeping. I looked over and there he was on the floor with everything out of the basket!! I guess he enjoyed what the Easter Bunny got him. I'm not sure though because I wasn't there to watch him.

Painting

We decided to paint the downstairs this weekend. This is hard to do with a baby running around, so we took turns painting and being with Andrew. At one point we just bought him down with us to finish up. I was painting behind a piece of furniture and it seemed way too quiet. Mike turned around, and there was Andrew with the paint brush painting his foot and the carpet. He was so proud of himself that we just had to laugh with him. I got the paint off the carpet. The outfit is a goner, and Andrew had a great time in the bath tub. I took a picture of his foot, so when we get it downloaded I'll add it. When he's a famous artist supporting us, we'll remember this as the day it all started.

Is there such a thing as the terrible one's?

Most of you will find this very funny. Andrew loves to turn the tv on and off. Yesterday he kept doing it and laughing at me every time I told him no. I decided to be mean and put him in time out for 1 minute. I put him in the chair, and he starts rocking back and forth smiling at me. Then he flips himself over and backs off the chair, stands up, goes over to the tv and turns it back off, smiling at me the whole time! What am I going to do when he's 2 if he's doing this already!!!

Andrew's Birthday

I can't believe my baby is 1! This was the fastest year ever. He had a great party with most of his friends and family there. He loved the cake and ice cream. He was a mess!
